The WED PLANNER & Guide OTV Fashion Spread

The WED PLANNER & Guide publishes a wedding book annually to help couples in their wedding planning. It’s a big book – I’ve always called it the Wedding Bible! This year, they used Over The Vines as a backdrop for their fashion spread inside their book. This was the ultimate OMG in our minds!

The WED PLANNER & Guide book

The WED PLANNER magazine’s Fashion Photo Spread section of the book was shot on our property, and I can tell you we were very much in awe over how much planning and detail went into each shot. We’re talking incredible detail down to the model's socks, hairpieces, jewelry, lighting, time of day, etc.

I’m a sucker for a stunning bridal gown and there were too many to count at this shoot. Wisconsin bridal shops like Brandi’s Bridal Galleria, Vera’s House of Bridals, Brides N' Belles and Moments to Cherish Bridals, lent their gowns for the shoot. One dress used had a price tag of $2,500. And some of my favorites were long-sleeved, sewn with gorgeous, vintage lace and styled with the most beautiful bridal accessories like Cathedral veils and diamond headpieces. The male models looked so dapper, too, wearing suits and tuxes from Nedrebo's Formalwear.

The Wedding Flashers shot the models for The WED PLANNER spread and they were wonderful to work with and watch (we love super cool husband & wife teams like them)! The unparalleled attention they gave the models and setting with each different shot was unlike anything we’d ever seen. The time and manpower that went into getting just the right shot (some of which took as much as 45 minutes for one look) was amazing. This team truly labored for an entire day, working through some challenging rain in the morning and changing evening temperatures.

We’re usually behind the scenes running around and coordinating our couples’ weddings here at the farm, but during this shoot for The WED PLANNER, we were just flies on the wall and it was a really exceptional experience.

Not only are we so humbled & honored to have been chosen by this publication, but we’re also so grateful for the friendships made with The Wedding Flashers photographers and Dana Gee from The WED PLANNER. Dana is the woman who organized the entire thing - and what a talent she is! Many thanks for this career defining experience!
