Private Party

Book the Barn for Your Private Party
Eight hours of exclusive use of our vineyard, gardens, and 1888 barn. Up to 100 guests. Booked entirely online in about five minutes.
Your Own Private Corner of Southern Wisconsin
For over a decade we have hosted weddings on eight acres of countryside outside Edgerton, halfway between Madison and Janesville and an easy drive from Milwaukee. Now you can book the entire property for your own celebration — no tour required, no back-and-forth, no sales calls. Pick a date, place a fully refundable deposit, and the whole place — barn, patio, party tent, gardens, and vineyard — is yours from 3:00 to 11:00 PM.
This Is a Self-Run Party
You get exclusive use of the property, a bartender, and a venue manager for the evening. There is no coordinator, no event manager, and no setup crew. You bring your people, set up the way you want it, and run your own show — which is exactly why it costs a fraction of a full-service Saturday here. If you want someone else handling the details, our wedding packages are the better fit.
What You Get
- Exclusive use of the entire property, 3:00 to 11:00 PM — the 1888 barn, the patio, the party tent (up through the end of the outdoor season), the gardens, and the surrounding vineyard
- Indoor barn space plus multiple outdoor areas, so the weather is never the deciding factor
- Up to 100 guests
- A bartender on site pouring our estate wines and full bar stock
- August special: a free half barrel of Spotted Cow with any August booking
- A venue manager on site for the full eight hours
- Tables, chairs, and patio furniture on site to use as you like
- Wine barrel fire pit and fuel, lit on request at no charge
- Yard games, available on request at no charge
- Gardens, endless green space, and countryside views
- ADA accessible restrooms and a lit gravel parking lot
Good to Know
- Tables, chairs, and patio furniture are stored stacked. You set up what you need; we put it all away afterward.
- No event coordinator and no planning help. Your venue manager keeps the property running; they are not there to run your party.
- Our décor collection is not included with this booking
- The dressing and prep suites are not included
- Property access begins at 2:30 PM, thirty minutes before your window
- 11:00 PM is a hard end. Everyone off the property at eleven.
- We do not provide catering. Food is bring-your-own — trays, coolers, or delivery.
- Outside alcohol is not permitted. All beer, wine, and spirits come from our bar.
- $1,000 refundable deposit paid online when you book. This is what holds your date.
- $2,500 rental fee due on the day of your event.
- Your $1,000 comes back automatically after your party — no forms, no phone calls, no chasing us down. Your actual cost for the venue is $2,500.
Wisconsin sales tax of 5.5% applies to all sales. A 3% fee applies to credit card payments. Bar purchases by you or your guests are separate from the rental fee. When you reach the booking calendar it will show $3,500 — that is the $2,500 venue fee plus the $1,000 deposit that comes back to you afterward.
How Booking Works
- Pick your date on our online calendar and see exactly what is open.
- Hold it with a $1,000 refundable deposit. That is the entire booking process — you are on the calendar.
- Pay the $2,500 rental fee on event day, and your deposit is returned automatically once your party is over.
Questions
Can we come see the property first?
Yes. A one-hour venue tour is bookable on the same calendar, at no charge.
Who is here during our party?
A bartender and a venue manager, for the full eight hours. Your venue manager keeps things running, will light the fire pit or pull out the yard games whenever you ask, and can reach the owners with anything they cannot answer on the spot. Otherwise, the property is yours.
How does the bar work?
Our bartender pours our estate wines and full bar stock, purchased by you or your guests during the event. Book an August date and a half barrel of Spotted Cow is on the house.
What if it rains?
The barn is your rain plan. Every outdoor space on the property has an indoor equivalent, so you are never making a weather decision at the last minute.
How far ahead can we book, and how late?
The calendar shows exactly which dates are open, and we add more as the season goes on. Bookings need a minimum of fourteen days notice before your event.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancel more than thirty days before your event, or within forty-eight hours of booking, and your deposit is refunded in full. Inside thirty days the deposit is non-refundable — unless we are able to re-book your date, in which case we will refund it. Cancellations are handled by contacting us directly.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes — and most of our private party guests do. Bring trays, coolers, and slow cookers, or have pizza delivered straight to the barn. There is plenty of table space to set out a spread, and no charge or restriction on bringing food in. We do not provide catering.
Only Two Dates Left in August
Book an August date and your half barrel of Spotted Cow is on us. Only two Saturdays are still open next month — check the calendar to see what is left.
